So what's the deal on contacting Bill Guarnere?
For those of you that have been visiting here for a while, you may remember that we used to have a place where you could write to Bill via e-mail. Unfortunately, the wheels came off in the form of hundreds upon hundreds of emails per month. As well, we became a haven for spammers and other wrong-doers, which was causing our network all sorts of issues.
So what's the bottom line?
We've taken away the ability to write Bill via the website. He was, in fact, answering a large number of the emails being sent to him, but he was answering them in the form of a handwritten letter. This was causing him to spend countless hours writing to his fans, which he didn't mind doing, but we in his family are trying to give the guy a break. He's 84 and already has enough going on.
We're sorry to have removed this area of the website, but we'd like Bill to enjoy his twilight years and not spend all his time writing letters. He gets enough unsolicited mail as it is.
